21 Things That Are Completely Free To Do While Traveling

Traveling is only expensive if you make it so, or if you make stupid mistakes (which I have done... we all do). There are tons of things to do that are completely free in each city you will visit, so I've listed them all out in case you haven't thought of it. You don't have to pay to get into a museum to make your trip better, unless you're someone who absolutely adores museums and can't get enough etc. Sightseeing is free!!! Go on foot, don't use public transport, discover hidden places, meet locals. Just go.

1. Exploring fresh markets and artesian markets... and asking for samples

2. Seeing the beautiful architecture

3. Walking tours provided by hostels or the city

4. Hanging out with new friends you meet at hostels

5. Going to the beach or whatever natural landmarks that are around

6. Taking a hike above the town

7. Cook with people you meet

8. Enjoy the churches that are open to everyone

9. Go to free museums / ruins

10. Go swimming, jump off cliffs and rocks in warm places

11. Have a snowball fight / build snowmen in cold places

12. Window shop

13. People watch

14. Share a bottle of wine in the park

15. Take a nap in a city square or by a landmark

16. Go to free art galleries

17. Discover ongoing festivals in the city

18. Enjoy street artists and musicians (if you take pics/vids, drop some change in there)

19. Have a picnic

20. Take pictures in front of the places you visit :)

21. Make a vlog for your friends

One Day Castle Tour of Poland

My first mini trip once I got to Poland was a road trip kind of deal - which I love. I adore just driving around and finding cool things to look at. I definitely don't enjoy paying for parking, though (who does?). There were supposed to be three stops in one day, but there ended up being four - we accidentally found another castle. All these castles are nestled in the foothills of Lesser Poland, and are really worth seeing, even if its just a drive-by sightseeing tour. I do encourage people to get out of their cars and explore - it's worth it.   First stop, Ojców National Park. This park contains two of the castles I saw, plus some really interesting caverns. This national park is in Lesser Poland, established in 1956. The national park earned its name after the village that resides in the area called "Ojców." How I Feel About Being A "Statistic"

I'm sitting here after dinner in my dorm, sipping on a glass of wine and munching on some two-frank cheese, as a third year student who left everything to move to Switzerland and dead ass is daring herself to stay for the rest of her college career (at least). The past few weeks have been absolutely life changing, in the aspect that they have been difficult, eye-opening, and hella fun. I have never been able to find a true tribe back at home. I have found individual friends who are down to travel, go hiking, try new things, take those crazy spontaneous trips that everyone rave about... but not many people actually live up to what they say they will do? I am finally finding a circle of friends who are always down for that sort of thing, no matter what the destination is, or how we get there.
